Top 5 Medical Apps on iOS in Africa Q4 2022

In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top 5 medical apps on the iOS platform in Africa demonstrated varied performance in terms of weekly downloads and active user trends. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Elezaby saw fluctuating download numbers throughout the quarter. Starting at approximately 2.4K downloads in late September, the app experienced a dip to around 1.4K in early October, followed by a peak of over 2.5K downloads in mid-November. By the end of December, download numbers settled around 1.4K.

Vezeeta - Doctors & Pharmacy had a more consistent performance in weekly downloads, maintaining an average of around 1.3K to 1.4K downloads per week. The number of active users, however, showed a slight decline from around 5.7K in late September to approximately 4.5K by the end of December.

amma: Pregnancy & Baby Tracker showed notable trends across all metrics. Weekly revenue increased from $92 in late September to a peak of $308 in early December. Downloads fluctuated, starting at 2.9K and ending at 353. Despite this, active users showed a steady increase, rising from 11.8K to over 16.2K by the end of the quarter.

Chefaa - شفاء experienced a decline in weekly downloads, starting at 766 and decreasing to around 336 by the end of December.

Lancet Labs Mobile also saw a decrease in downloads over the quarter, from 1.1K to approximately 321 by the end of December.
